Early Passion and Musical Pursuits

• Young Talent: At the age of 9, David discovered his talent and passion for the drums, which became a central part of his life.
• High School Achievements: Played in the high school band, orchestra, and various cover bands, honing his skills and deepening his love for music.
• Advanced Training: Attended The Cleveland Institute of Music during his last year of high school, studying music theory and taking private percussion lessons.

Professional Musical Development

• Mentorship: Studied under Howard Brush, the drummer for Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in the 1950s, who recognized David’s potential and recommended Berklee College of Music. David also studied under Joe Hunt, the drummer for Stan Getz, and Alan Dawson, the drummer for Bill Evans and Dave Brubeck – among other outstanding musicians.
• Berklee Experience: Spent two years at Berklee College of Music as a percussion major, further refining his craft.
• Los Angeles Era: Moved to Los Angeles to pursue his musical dreams, playing in studios with top-tier musicians and gaining invaluable experience.

Transition to Business

• Career Shift: In 1980, David’s career took a transformative turn as he shifted from music to business, answering his brother Bob’s call to join Design Resources. Under Bob’s mentorship, David delved into the furniture industry, mastering salesmanship and strategy. During this time, David fostered a dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction to drive business opportunities forward. 
• Sustained Success: David has been based out of the Ohio area ever since, building long-lasting relationships between interior designers, architecture firms, and furniture manufacturers offering his clients the best that quality customer service can offer.
